Everyday calls
Call a car workshop in Poland without speaking Polish
Found a workshop, but the website does not answer your question? Give EVA its Polish number and a clear request. Check prices and available times before deciding what to book.
Make your first callLooking for an English-speaking mechanic in Poland?
Check the selected workshop’s own contact information and ask whether English is available for both reception and the mechanic. “Czy mogę omówić zakres prac i koszt po angielsku?” asks whether you can discuss the work and cost in English. If the answer is no, a trusted Polish speaker or EVA can ask routine questions about the quote and available times in Polish. You still need to understand the workshop’s written scope before approving repairs. EVA does not find a workshop, diagnose the car or provide roadside assistance.
A few Polish words for your own call
You can also try calling directly: “wymiana opon” means tyre change, “wyważanie” means balancing, and “Jaka jest cena za komplet?” asks the price for the full set. Write down the amount and ask whether it includes everything. If following the reply is difficult, use the checklist below to prepare a delegated call.
Prepare details that change the quote
For tyres, include the wheel diameter, whether you have complete wheels or loose tyres, and whether balancing or storage is needed. For repairs, give the car model, year and the problem in your own words. Do not guess a diagnosis or put private documents into the request.
Ask for a comparable answer
Ask whether the quote covers a set or one wheel, labour, parts, balancing and any additional charges. A price given before inspection can be an estimate. Ask what might change it and whether a separate diagnostic fee applies.
Check the time and location
Name the correct branch. Give an actual date and a time window, and ask how long the work is expected to take. Availability reported during a call is not a held appointment. If there is a usable online calendar, booking directly may be simpler.
Keep inquiry and permission separate
For information only, explicitly say not to book, order parts or approve work. If you want an appointment, specify the service, acceptable date and price boundary in the request. EVA must stay within your authorization; a new workshop condition can require another decision.
Example request — not a recorded customer call
Call this workshop in Warsaw. Ask the total price for changing four R16 tyres with balancing, whether valves are included, and the earliest available time on my chosen date after 16:00. Ask whether inspection can change the price. Do not book or approve repairs.
Check the returned answer
Compare the service scope, quoted amount, time and conditions. Read the actual response in the result; missing information remains unknown. An unanswered call or an estimate is not a confirmed booking. Supported destinations, account readiness and plan limits are checked before calling.
