Everyday calls
Change or cancel an appointment in Polish · EVA
Your plans changed, but explaining it on the phone in Polish feels harder than making the original booking. Start with the confirmation message: its manage-booking link may let you make the change yourself.
Make your first callFind the original appointment
Use the business’s official contact and the reference from your confirmation. Prepare the booked service, branch, date, local time and booking name. A date alone may identify the wrong appointment. Do not include login details, payment cards or one-time codes.
Ask about the rules before changing anything
Check the cancellation deadline and whether a deposit, no-show charge or price difference applies. “Czy zmiana terminu jest płatna?” means “Is there a fee to change the appointment?” A free slot does not mean a free change. Ask for the policy in writing when the answer is unclear.
Say whether you want options or an actual change
For an inquiry, give two suitable time windows and say to keep the original appointment. “Czy można przełożyć wizytę?” asks whether a visit can be moved. “Chcę odwołać wizytę” means you want to cancel it: do not use that phrase when you only want to ask about alternatives. Any actual change needs your explicit, bounded instruction and the business’s acceptance.
Keep one clear outcome
EVA can call the eligible Polish business number you supply and ask about alternatives and conditions. It cannot use your booking account or guarantee a cancellation, refund or replacement time. If identification, a new payment or an unexpected decision is required, handle that next step directly. This guide is for ordinary services, not public-office or visa appointments.
Check what happened to the old booking
Read the result for the original date, proposed new date, fees and what remains unconfirmed. If the call ended early or the answer is ambiguous, do not assume the original booking disappeared. Check the official confirmation before booking elsewhere; otherwise you may hold two appointments.
Example: ask for alternatives without losing your slot
Call the salon I selected about my existing appointment on the date and time provided. Ask whether there is an alternative in either of my two time windows and whether changing it costs anything. Keep the original appointment. Do not cancel, confirm a new time or accept a fee.
A useful result makes the next decision clear
You need available alternatives, the stated deadline and charges, and an explicit account of whether anything changed. EVA returns a written result; availability alone is not a confirmed new appointment.
